SSPH+ for sustainable health: Health in all Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)

SSPH+ presents a contemporary, Swiss perspective on public health and the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), also known as the 'Global Goals', were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 17 SDG's are integrated—that is, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. SSPH+ for Sustainable Health at Expo Dubai!

SSPH+ will deliver a highly innovative and informative perspective on public health and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) of the United Nations (UN) through a multi-faceted public health project that is designed for long-term use, both online and at public health exhibitions and conferences, with its first live delivery planned for the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai, postboned to October 2021-March 2022.

SSPH+ for sustainable health especially showcases the link between public health and all the SDG's. Raising awareness for public health and SDG’s is more important than ever, particularly in light of the recent global pandemic that demonstrates the impact of socio- economic and political changes on the aims of public health and SDG’s world-wide. It is therefore a crucial aim of the project that SDG’s are addressed with a view to evaluating how people’s health can benefit from realizing the SDG’s.

Moreover, since the goals of the SDG’s can only be met when people are informed about them and motivated to help meet them, SSPH+ for health hopes to inspire others to join us in our effort to meet the SDG's.
